Pros
An awesome place to work with a lot of smart people. Many of the researchers really love their work and are more than willing to share their knowledge. The HPMI is very good about providing opportunities to students and is also very active in the community. Tours of the facility are often given to local high school students and teachers.
Cons
Some of the PIs are never around and don't seem to be very active in their research, this puts their RAs in a tough position.
Some people keep dirty workplaces and don't like to clean up or organize. Sometimes it's a challenge to find a specific tool or material.
