- completely inept management - company near bankruptcy - continued layoffs - nepotism - bullying from the executive team. You just need to sit in one meeting with the so called COO This is a good example of what happens when children are left to run a company. The two founders should have stepped away as soon as the company went public because they don’t and never had ANY competency to manage a business of the scope and size of HEXO. They spent more time last summer building cottages, buying boats, throwing infused dinner parties and buying audio equipment than they did actually in the office or paying attention to their business. They checked out the minute they became nouveau riche with others money, and never took the time to put the right experienced packaged goods executives in place while still spending recklessly with little checks and balances until it was too late.
