Pros
Decent starting salary, A lot to learn about green house agriculture, paid time of immediately, health insurance, exercise, ability to be fairly autonomous.
Cons
The salary will be diluted by the shear number of hours you have to work (mandatory 6 days a week all spring no days off allowed. Overtime daily spring through summer). If your salary equates to 18 dollars an hour by years end it will be 12 to 14. The more you work the less your time is worth and they will abuse it. Nepotism is in full force in this work environment with the owners paying attention to 2-3 employees (who can do no wrong) unless you do something wrong. They do not supply you with workable personable protection equipment ( gloves you cant use to operate the equipment boots/that almost immediately get holes in them) Bare minimum to avoid a law suit. No where to dispose of chemical properly most people just poor on the floor. The owner constantly overrides what his lead growers set into motion causing a lot of headaches.
