Pros

Coworkers are thoughtful and kind, the company is profitable, and the mission is meaningful. The benefits are also really good. This has been a pretty great place to work for a lot of its tenure, and probably still is as long as you don’t happen to voice any disagreement or discontent.

Cons

Unfortunately, gaps in the skills of leadership and managers that were always present, but didn’t feel like big deals at a smaller size are really starting to show as the company grows. Leadership is disorganized and struggles with communication. Projects are subject to a lot of thrash and deadline driven to no purpose, and people are moved teams or teams are dissolved with no warning. Additionally, leadership’s avoidance of hard conversations and punitive response to feedback makes it hard to improve things. Conversations that could’ve been handled with nuance and grace have become quite toxic recently, and when I look back, there was always a pattern of abrupt firings or ‘quitting’ that felt like leadership was attempting to sweep them under the rug.

Strong mission, company works to keep people aligned on goals, i see real upward trajectory.

Cons

Similar to other orgs at this “age,” there are org shifts, changing priorities, and new leadership that get thrown at you.

Pros

Incredible work environment where our CEO and everyone else REALLY cares. It's a company that truly works together rather than having hierarchical egos in the room. I've never seen a place where people across every single position are willing to work directly with one another towards the same mission. The CEO and all founders are incredibly humble, personable and down to earth people. Leadership cares about their people, and it's shown through numerous stipends, mental health mornings/afternoons, but also just getting to know everyone on a personal level. I feel incredibly valued every day, and it makes me in it for the long haul. Grow therapy is one of (potentially the last) mental health tech companies that psychologically safe internally. It makes all the difference; it makes people want to come to work, want to work hard, want to keep going. Grow really gets the mission inside and out and for that I am so grateful.

Cons

None, seriously. This company is doing incredibly and gives me hope that a company can be values-driven, care about their people, AND make money. It doesn't have to be corruption and greed at all costs.
