Pros

The plant employees are some of the kindest, hardworking people I have ever had the pleasure working with. They are the people I thought about whenever I worked on a solution to improve their work - whether it was efficiency, ergonomics, or safety. I got to work on interesting and challenging projects that produced real utility and derived great satisfaction from seeing the benefits of my contributions in action. I enjoyed the camaraderie shared between engineers in our group before new regional management stepped in.

Cons

Poor investment in people resulting in lost knowledge transfer due to early retirements and departures of experienced team members. As an effect this also resulted in increased demands from project engineers. New Regional Management was ready and willing to throw others under the bus if goals were not achieved, even if the reasons were out of their control. I was micromanaged to the point where even my meals were scrutinized for being too high (without considering inflation on prices due to the pandemic and the fact I was well within policy even).
