Pros
Chances are that you will be given a lot of responsibility right away at Greenlee. There is a constant revolving door of people at Greenlee, so if you come in right after college, you will probably move up quickly through the ranks within a 3 year period. The products are still made in the US which is a real differentiator.
Cons
The benefits package offered by Textron (Parent company), are pretty much terrible. The vest on your 401K is 5 YEARS!!! The healthcare is catastrophic coverage, basically 5500 out of pocket before it even begins to cover expeneses. The company itself can't seem to find a strategic direction to invest to save its life. The last few product launches have not gone well, which has increased pressure on the company. The morale at Rockford is in the basement, and there is a genuine rivalry between different parts of the company. The company continues to attract very mediocre talent, furthering the deficit of creative thinkers in the organization. IE hiring people to positions that require a degree who went to University of Phoenix.
