Pros
They buy your loyalty with nice gear, gifts, a trip to the local ball park, a couple meals purchased for the large group meets, and no real daily structure. Very free form sales which is part of why the model is pretty poor(designed for a few to do well at the top, as long as you lie)
Cons
-At interview company lied/embellished about residential outside sales and the actual job responsibilities for the role. I won’t give the name of who did it but there are 3 director’s involved at the interview process so 3 opportunities to spell things out in black and white. -Residential outside sales, for true green, is canvassing, or door knocking. It was never fully explained that we would be knocking on doors until 8 at night without any accreditation, permits for solicitation, or training on the dangers this practice can present, besides the fact that it’s a misdemeanor that you would be charged with and not the company. -Difficult time frame to get a raise or promotion. (1 year) -being told you’re going to an area where the director has been to find it’s a no soliciting community.
