Pros

Lively and fun atmosphere. Nice office. A feeling that this is a well-run company with great prospects. In my time I have had great career progression. Management are positive and talented.

Cons

No training budget- you need to learn in your own time. For a long time our internal IT has been a little underwhelming, although this is being completely changed in Q2 2015 and I believe will be vastly improved. Money has already been spent on hardware for this rollout.

Pros

Great for experience and exposiour, encouragement for certs, and can separate work and personal life pretty easily, and the quality of people who work there is usually pretty strong.

Cons

You won't get invested in, your salary won't increase until you had in your notice, you'll often get ignored and feel unimportant, very small desk space and often at times understaffed and full on. They'll also just hire most of their staff without advertising the positions internally first. Most of the senior engineers also won't have any time for you and won't normally be open to helping, explaining or motivatating you to do anything.
