Pros
*Experienced recruiters are fully embedded inside clients (like an internal recruiter) and recruit for some of the most interesting, fast-growing, and mission-driven startups. It's all the career benefits of being an internal recruiter, combined with the financial incentives that a good agency can offer.
*Associate Recruiters early in their career get a ton of exposure to some super talented and smart people on a daily basis, GS is a great place to learn.
*You are treated like an adult and given the freedom and runway to be creative, try new things, and grow.
*The team is incredibly fun, smart, and empathetic, there is no place I'd rather be in 2020, very grateful to have these teammates.
*The HR Consulting team is amazing and is an awesome resource to have around both from a personal career standpoint, but also for navigating challenging client/candidate situations one as well. It's a great compliment to the recruiting team and brings in a lot of recruiting business organically as well.
Cons
*The work can be challenging at times and you need to be willing to grind it out every once in a while.
*The independence here can be a lot, especially for people earlier in their career, this is not the type of company where the help just comes to you - you need to be organized, dedicated and assertive.
