Pros
Remote work, unlimited PTO (you'll probably be too behind to use it, though). Might be able to get the experience you want if you are just starting your career.
Cons
The company is run by old white men who have no interest in the challenges of their employees or the quality of the products. There are little to no advancement opportunities for any marginalized groups, and no support for that matter. Compensation is lower than direct competitors. The CEO's only priority is profit and he will work everyone to death rather than expanding the team to properly support the workload. Leaders expect everyone to work overtime every week while saying they value work life balance. The employee-run DEI was terminated and they said it would begin again when they hired a new HR leader. That was maybe a year ago? Still no DEI ERG. No employees have time for any ERGs because they are worked too much and already have to take time from their personal lives to work long hours and weekends. You can easily work 60-70 hours a week all year and still be behind. They have fired several subject matter experts who have most of the knowledge about the products. If you try to advocate for yourself or your team, you WILL be fired. Customers are unhappy because they used to get great service and support from the startup company, but they can't get a hold of anyone after GovOS acquired the startup and expanded the sales team without expanding operations accordingly. Employees are miserable, customers are miserable (lots of churn), and the products aren't getting the improvements they need to work properly. They will sign a contract that includes features that don't exist, then deny the development resources needed to fulfill the contract. Bottom line is STAY AWAY! Especially if you are female, have more melanin than the CEO, have a disability, etc. Whether you are looking for a job or a software solution, GovOS is not it.
