Pros

Goliath is basically my family at this point, but I'll try to be objective. This is a great job if you are a kid inside and love games and toys! Exciting work environment, things change quickly and you will learn new skills. We have a lot of parties, coworkers are amazing. Our department manager is very kind and flexible, gives us a lot of room to grow. We play games at work ;) Great job environment for nerds and people who love to experiment. Lots of travel opportunities to super fun conventions and toy industry trade shows.

Cons

A lot of the cons are more or less the cons of any production job but here are some specific ones that would prepare you: Very short development cycles, little time dedicated to concept development. Lean staffing means experienced people get assigned to menial projects. No art director, projects undergo unnecessary revisions from lack of clear direction. Overtime during trade show season

Pros

The best part of working here is the people. Coworkers are collaborative, work hard, and support one another. Leadership has had to navigate some challenges but have generally tried to be transparent and communicative throughout. Company offers flexibility and a lot of opportunities to learn and grow.

Cons

Tariffs and external market challenges have been difficult.

Pros

Opportunity to learn to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines Some coworkers are hardworking and professional Exposure to projects that can build resilience Potential to be a better workplace if invested

Cons

Leadership is not transparent: major changes, layoffs, and freezes happen with little communication until after the fact. Company blames the economy for cuts, yet continues to spend in ways that feel inconsistent. Poor pay compared to workload and expectations. Long hours and stressful deadlines with little recognition or support. Very weak office culture with no real sense of community, everyone is on edge, and there’s no social environment. Minimal benefits that don’t make up for the stress. Constant turnover year-round
