Pros

The pay is really nice especially on night shift where the differential can be $4 extra on top of the base pay. Management are good people and easy to get along with. Also levels to increase pay is nice.

Cons

Work-life balance is difficult because your always tired after work. Seems like upper management like to change their minds on the schedule a lot. Especially when it comes to holidays and shutdowns.

Hello - Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences. We genuinely appreciate your feedback as it helps us understand what we are doing well and where we can improve. We are delighted to hear that you find the pay, especially the night shift differential, to be a positive aspect of your employment. It's also encouraging to know that you find our management team approachable and that you appreciate the opportunities for pay increases. Your recognition of these aspects is truly valued. We understand that maintaining a healthy work-life balance can be challenging. We also acknowledge your concerns regarding the frequent changes in schedules, particularly around holidays and shutdowns. Your feedback about the need for a more consistent schedule and better planning for necessary materials is noted. Your suggestions are very constructive. We will work to ensure that the necessary materials are available and that the schedule remains as consistent as possible based on the business needs. We also take your point about the roles and responsibilities of leads seriously and will address this.

Pros

Very few pros beyond compensation and hybrid working.

Cons

Many, many cons. Do not work here if you cannot dedicate ALL of your waking hours, constantly. The organization is very lean and upper management is highly demanding but also completely ineffective at making decisions in a timely manner. People in the NY office are stretched beyond their reasonable human limits and the working environment is filled with smaller toxic groups that collude against people who use their PTO time "too often," have a life outside of working hours (you need to be available 24/7) or if you have to leave at a certain time for school or daycare pick up, etc. You'll catch on in a short time that this is not a place for thriving but only for surviving until your escape. There is a ton of contention between department leaders as well and the leadership/exec team has created an atmosphere of fear that your middle manager will never be able to manage the burden of ultimately creating relief from the overflow of demands. You will be unhappy by your decision to work here, and there is a lot of turnover (even with newer hires), and you can expect to fill in for those gaps for long periods of time.
