Pros

They have a good marketing team that is very professional.

Cons

Do your due diligence independently before joining this company, as their story may not line up or it can quickly change. Nepotism is real across the entire company. This company is a christian based organization, and atheists or those from diverse religious backgrounds may want to make that known right away to judge their opinions. Blessing god after a company meeting is normal, as are worship events at the actual office you do business in, which is extremely odd for start-up that need a range of experience and background to begin to succeed. This company is funded by the CEO, and their book of business relies on the religious philanthropic connections, not through the independent value of their product, which is generally half baked and unusable without someone there helping you use it. Don't expect to be integrated quickly into the company, as the beauracracy and red tape has people more worried about office poltics than they would about getting things done. Critical opinions will not be valued. The company is not structured like a common software start-up -- instead it is a loose group of project teams working with a small number of clients to try to figure out what they want to build(still figuring that out)

Gloo Response

We're sad to hear that Gloo didn’t live up to its promise for you. Growth and change is definitely hard, and if you feel you're not being heard I'd urge you to reach out directly to anyone on the executive team. We try to talk to as many people as we can, but we also need to hear from anyone who isn't happy or feel that there aren't enough opportunities to give feedback. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It means a lot that you care enough to help us improve.

Pros

I loved my time at Gloo! Fun work environment especially at the office in Boulder. Competitive salary and great benefits. The work is really fulfilling too!

Cons

The one drawback was that Gloo didn't offer matching retirement when I was there but now they do!

Pros

- Decent pay - Flexibility in working remotely - Good snacks

Cons

- Company claims to be about "human flourishing," but it is more interested in the flourishing of the Christian celebrities and business leaders with whom they're associated - Company claims to "serve those who serve," but leadership regularly is interested in serving their own interests. Leaders in my division wouldn't speak to me or even make eye contact unless they needed something. Very self-serving. - Be prepared for chaos. Constant restructuring and internal passive aggressive fighting between teams. Constant layoffs. - Claims to be serving churches, but mainly only churches that fit their evangelical, nondenominational, megachurch definition. - Leadership will use Christian language but are there to inflate their own ego. - Not only hypocritically un-Christlike, but also unprofessional. Layoffs are constant, yet handled very poorly. - Poor culture across the company. May be alright in individual teams, but poor communication and collaboration.
