New York investment Waste of time and money. Worst place I've worked in 25 years. - Manager GlobalFoundries Employee Review

Pros

Compensation and benefits are good. Lots of lazy, pathetic and incompetent people. So you can get paid well for accomplishing very little. There is a high rate of voluntary turnover, so they aren't going to fire you for below average work.

Cons

Poor business decisions. Lack of focus. No sense of urgency. No passion for or commitment to excellence. Over half the population just working for a paycheck and health insurance - no passion or spirit to win. Plagued with apathy, incompetence, bureaucracy and politics. Inherited 20-year old ideas and methods from AMD and IBM. That baggage stifles innovation. No way this organization can survive let alone compete once investors start to expect New York operations to be self-sustaining.

Pros

Very supportive team and management to work with from the beginning. Many training classes need to be taken in moving forward to align with the company policies and technical procedures. Good benefits and competitive salary. Have a very positive plan for long term career and educational support tuition. The interview and hiring process are long but informative and responded promptly.

Cons

There are many training classes to take so it may put more stress on a new hire if you do not have a good plan.

Pros

Everyone is willing to help and the training is actually good training

Cons

If I didn’t know someone that worked since I was going to overnights I didn’t really meet anyone on my team except my manager once. Also I wouldn’t know who to reach out like manger wise if I didn’t know someone who already worked here
