      Pros

      At one time it was where everyone wanted to work. GIG was fantastic! It was a 5 star company prior to the acquisition.

      Cons

      Underwent a buyout in 2018 which fulfilled the founder’s request of ensuring his employees were taken care of. Unfortunately, AIG is not the same company. I would have retired from GIG, but towards the end I I felt like I was selling my soul.

      There are good people. Good benefits.

      Cons

      I'll let the employer's falling rank on the "Best Jobs in PA" list speak for itself. In 2014, they were in the top two large employers on the list, and in prior years they were even #1. In 2024? To be fair this is an improvement after falling to #26 in 2022, but I doubt improvements have been made since 2024 ended.
