Pros
Gideon has by far the best work environment out of any job or internship I have had in the past. I started as an intern a little over a year ago. As an intern it was really cool to be able to work in the same room as the associates and partners. The partners are some of the smartest individuals I have met and I have learned more about the finance industry during my time at Gideon than I did in all my finance classes in college at Loyola Marymount University put together. After interning for about six months doing things like running illustrations for clients, building lists of prospective clients and building the decks the partners actually bring on client meetings, I was brought on full-time as an Associate. I have been an associate for the past 6+ months and couldn't be happier. Gideon is a firm with immense growth potential and has a very bright future. The other employees are easy to get along with and only want to help you grow. No matter what position you hold it is always encouraged to ask questions about anything to help you grow as an individual. The partners also care about you as a person which makes the whole experience worthwhile. When is comes to compensation, the harder you work the more money you can make and what more could you want than that.
Cons
Unpaid as an intern and as an associate you must get certified before getting paid. Pretty normal in this industry.
