Pros

I'm one of the founders of Giddy so of course I'm going to speak highly of my baby. The good thing is it isn't hard to think of great things to say. We are fortunate enough to have started out with an incredibly strong team in an exciting industry. We are uniquely equipped to improve so many of DeFi's shortcomings in order to truly bring value to peoples' lives. We are in that honeymoon phase where everyone is moving the needle and there is no time for politics and nonsense. When a group of good people with passion and expertise come together to solve extremely tricky problems, it's magical. We will strive to keep the strong culture around for as long as possible.

Cons

Crypto and DeFi are still so new and things change all the time. The rules, in most cases, aren't written yet. We are in uncharted waters. This industry is not for the faint of heart.

Pros

I moved to Giddy because I strongly believe in bringing high-yield savings to the masses, especially to those underserved communities within the US and around the world who don't have reliable, unbiased access to banking. Giddy is building the gateway for anyone with an internet connection to stake into high-yield projects without the volatility of general crypto. Absolutely everyone at the company so far (17 of us at the time of this writing) is an all-star in her or his own right, whether it's dev team, people ops, design, people, whatever, and there are no egos or secret agendas. DeFi is such a brand-new, fast-evolving landscape that there is a strong culture of teaching, sharing, and learning together, so there are no stupid questions (and believe me, I've asked a LOT of questions since joining myself).

Cons

We're in a fast-paced industry and we're small & just starting up so you have to wear many hats. I'm a nerdy ex-big-four accountant and in my time here I've been educating myself nonstop on DeFi, building financial models, reading legal agreements, learning new systems, generating thought material for users, and even helping with Tik Tok material. There is no such thing as a comfort zone, so if that doesn't sound amazing and exciting this might not be the place for you.
