Pros

This company has two Gesture accounts on glass door because the reviews are that bad.

Cons

The company is held back by poor and toxic leadership at the highest level. I strongly recommend speaking with former employees before making any decisions. The CEO consistently avoids accountability while placing blame on others, creating a culture of fear and instability. Feedback is often met with criticism rather than reflection, which stifles growth and morale. Leadership’s inability to foster a respectful and supportive environment has led to high turnover and low employee satisfaction. The company has potential, but it won’t realize it without significant changes at the top.

Pros

Technology component is most user-friendly in marketplace. Gesture also provides a team of on-site representatives to assist with registration/mobile bidding/silent auction area the night of the special event.

Cons

The client can expect to pay up to $1200 additional for the extra person (most notable when moving from a 4 to 5 person team, I believe ) however, the Independent Contractor is paid just $18-$20 per hour and receives on-site training an hour before the event. The contractor is told to NOT give the client any inclination that she is not an actual employee of Gesture and is given a branded button-down to change into when she arrives on-site. The "middle man" in charge of filling the IC positions is an event staffing company called 360promonetwork.com. Unfortunately, I don't think Gesture has any idea how unprofessional 360 is at filling these positions. ICs are expected to apply for events but, are confirmed just 3-4 days prior; if the IC has not kept the date open, she is removed from the database completely. The talent booked for the events ranges greatly - some ICs are completely unfamiliar with the product which means other ICs are having to cover/assist. 360 will pay talent different rates but, not because of experience, moreso because the IC may have been hired as a last minute replacement via craigslist (and thus, is brought in at a higher hourly rate).
