Pros

- Super collaborative and supportive environment. I've worked at GA Tech for only one year but felt very much at home immediately after being hired. People are nice, welcoming, and supportive of diversity. - Lots of diversity! - I've had a really great experience working with my team. I haven't had any issues with anyone, we all get along great and are supportive of each other's work (including helping each other out with tasks and projects when needed), and I couldn't ask for a better work environment.

Cons

- I wish I made more money, but it is just the nature of working in academia. - I have heard that my extremely positive experience at GA Tech is not always the norm, so I wanted to share my two cents, but maybe take it with a grain of salt. I came here from a toxic work environment somewhere else and am now very happy at GA Tech and wouldn't want to leave.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
