Pros

You get free housing and a meal plan, which are amazing benefits if you are out of state. It is a fun interactive job that is very rewarding, especially knowing you are helping fellow students.

Cons

This job can sometimes involve a lot of paperwork depending on how many resident you have/if you have apartments in your area. It also is disappointing when residents aren't enthusiastic and don't come to events.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
