Pros

Free education and the opportunity to study any subject on campus while getting paid to obtain a degree

Cons

The lab that I was in was run more as a company than as a school. There were about 150+ graduate students for one professor, which means that the amount of contact hours was actually too low and it was really hard to get an appointment

Pros

Great Research Environment, with multiple opportunities for collaboration. A great place overall for grad school!

Cons

Can be a bit competitive at times, but really depends on the lab / advisor you work with

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
