Pros
Good salary High potential for learning and development - Employees are often tasked with things that are beyond their job description, which can lead to speedy professional development.
Cons
While the opportunity to learn at Genser is great, there is a strong amount of favoritism based on compatibility between personalities (as opposed to skills, capabilities, or performance), and there is an undeniable preference towards foreigners compared to locals. As a result, your experience at the company will vary significantly based on your relationship with upper management and your background. Genser prides itself on being a lean organization that can react quickly to market changes. But this means that staff are consistently overworked, even to the point of developing health issues and requiring hospitalization, and organizational processes are disorganized. This is incredibly concerning, and there is a true disconnect between leadership, who perceives this as an entrepreneurial/start-up approach to business, and lower level employees, who are the ones that face the brunt of these issues. Unsurprisingly, there is very high turnover because of these issues.
