Pros
You have to fend for yourself with means you figure out a lot of things on your own and become a problem solver if you weren’t already. Working with the field guys was fun
Cons
Management has a lot of work to do. They sit in offices and don’t have any clue what’s going on in the field but make decisions that greatly impact field crews. Management also says to do something one way today and tomorrow it’s different. They are trying to operate as a huge company but don’t have the funds or resources to do so. Taking time off is next to impossible without getting a guilt trip yet management comes and goes as they please. When management is upset with you for something they won’t tell you or coach you they’ll just immediately let you go. They brag about it being like the Wild West there but really employees are fighting to stay above water. They keep saying they have more projects coming and that finances are going to start loooing up but it never actually happens
