Pros

Schedule is the only positive

Cons

Where to begin? This experience was a real eye-opener. The level of disorganization was overwhelming, compensation was below market, and the benefits package was among the poorest I've encountered. The only positive aspect was the schedule. Employees are hired to work in South Miami but are also expected to cover locations as far as North Miami Beach, resulting in excessive commutes that can easily add several hours to the workday due to Miami traffic. The expectation that staff routinely travel between locations is unrealistic and places an unnecessary burden on employees. If the role were limited to actually being a Registered Nurse, it would be a much better job. Unfortunately, nurses are expected to wear countless other hats because so many support functions are handled remotely. Instead of focusing on patient care, you end up acting as a receptionist, scheduler, insurance coordinator, inventory manager, stock clerk, shipping and receiving clerk, lab technician, and patient liaison all at once. Because many managers and coordinators work from home, there is very little in-person support. Patients frequently complain that they cannot reach anyone by phone, and those frustrations often fall on the clinic staff who are physically present. Frontline employees are left to deal with patient complaints, operational issues, scheduling problems, insurance questions, and day-to-day clinic challenges while management remains largely removed from the office environment. There is a constant expectation to take on responsibilities outside your job description, often to compensate for a lack of support and accountability elsewhere. The workload would be far more manageable if employees were allowed to focus on the roles they were actually hired to perform rather than being expected to handle nearly every aspect of clinic operations. Overall, the lack of organization, poor communication, inadequate support, low pay, weak benefits, and unrealistic expectations made this a very disappointing experience. I genuinely regret leaving the hospital for this position and would encourage anyone considering employment here to thoroughly understand what will actually be expected of them on a daily basis.
