Pros
Love the flexibility in work environment, expects you to work from the office but can work from home on occasion. Good work/life balance. Decent experience opportunities (from construction observation to project management). Extremely welcoming office environment with quickly growing number of female engineers. The company likes to celebrate their employees in the masses. Paid straight overtime (1.5 for some levels of employment).
Cons
Pros out weigh the cons, for sure. You need to be buddy, buddy to really succeed and be recognized. If you don't brag on yourself, your efforts will not be rewarded in terms of compensation. Not a con for everyone, but definitely for some. Unqualified promotions occur because it's hard to hire quality mid level talent. Mid compensation. Definitely wasted money on things like foam fingers, but I appreciate the effort. Would prefer to use that money for employee retainage.
