Pros

- Great employees, very good work culture - They won't ask you for the overtime unless it's really really needed ( not the same case with all teams ) - Decent Salary ( though you might find it a little low compare to your recent grad buddies working in California but the benefits are damm great, typically students consider an offer a great based on just an annual salary but they should consider all the factors that makes a company like 401k, health, dental, vision, stock purchase, product discounts, local discounts, bonus etc..) - Great 401k plan, puts 5% regardless of your contribution and matches 0.75 dollar for every dollar you put (upto 10% your salary), overall it meets at 12.5 % match - Health (medical, dental and vision) - great lowered insurance plans. 50% less compared to other famous companies that I know . - Flat 45% off on all Garmin products (plus free shipping) - Garmin surprises you with little gifts on some days like thanks giving, your birthday, Christmas etc - Great work environment, people here respect you and listen to what you have to say - Garmin provides many internship opportunities for the students - Garmin listens to your new product/feature ideas through a website (for employee access only) - After coming back to home, you won't feel pressurized about your work. Very good work and life cycle ! You can enjoy your weekend with no work tension !

Cons

- Training for the new employee isn't that great until you have it converted full time from your internship. - You feel a little low Salary compared to other software guys. - Salary hike isn't that great too. I would say, depends on your team and performance.

Pros

Great, and I mean great benefits.

Cons

Poor local culture, everybody is in their own clicks and don't deviate from them. Not a huge amount of office friendliness. Not many team building exercises, and qa gets left out of alot. If you're not a developer, you will have a yard time socially. Coffee is the worst I've had at a company ever. Return to office was not handled right, and the wfh policies were written very vague by a local manager, but what they actually wanted was very specific and was not communicated at all(avg of 1 per month over the course of a year). This lead to a problem where I was denied a wfh request to grieve a dead pet because I used wfh 2 weeks earlier to register a new car ( that I got solely for work commute)
