Pros

Meeting the retail owners. Enjoying the scenic drives in between appointments.

Cons

High turn over. Every account says, "Oh boy, another Ganz rep already...Ganz just can't keep their reps can they? What's wrong with your company?" $500 a week gas reimbursement does not even touch what I spent to get to my appointments. Then you add oil changes every month or two and just car and tire wear and tear and you are GIVING YOUR OWN INVESTMENT OF YOUR CAR TO GANZ. They do not tell you that they are keeping half of your first paycheck and you will only get it back once no longer with the company after you give all samples back to Ganz. They do not tell you that you must SHIP out a certain $ amount of product each month before you can get the 8% commission. They do not give you a phone, yet if you have any phone issues, lost, stolen, not working properly, they will get on your a$$ about it until you fork over your OWN money to get a phone to use for work. They promise a full year of employment in order to reach their unattainable $10,000 a week sales quota. They let me go at exactly 6 months and not the full 12 months I was promised. They go on and on about the quality of their products but it's cheap made in China crap that you have to act like you like. It's disgusting. They don't care if a retail owner can't afford to spend $$$ on products. They still want you to be pushy and "get your dollars up". If I have to hear one more person say "get your dollars up" or "get your numbers up" I will scream. This company is so selfish and cheap they don't even get the fact that your customers are more than numbers and dollars, they are people who are pinching their pennies in a down economy, just like you and me. The company lies to retailers saying that people are buying. People are not buying. It's front page news, yet we're supposed to say that the retail market is booming. What a joke. The working conditions at the gift mart are horrendous. Hours on end of standing. Little time to eat. Long working hours and it goes on for days on end. I had to go to the Urgent Care after working the show due to exhaustion. After working 12-14 hour days for 9 days straight I was told after only having 5 minutes to sit and eat to get back on the floor. They don't care about you. If you are offered a job from this company run. Run fast. Don't believe their "This is the best place to work. I really believe in the products." My God, this crap is made in China yet it's great quality? What? They will increase your territory and not your pay or your travel reimbursement. I had North Georgia and then they fired someone in North Carolina and divided this person's territory into 4 sections. Me and 3 other territory managers were forced to gain more territory which is more travel intensive and expensive, yet we did not get an increase in travel reimbursement. Ganz saved $30,000 plus expenses by firing the North Carolina rep and having the other territory managers absorb her territory for FREE. Cheapskate company. Cheap products.

Pros

Good benefits, base plus commission so if you want more money you sell more. You get what you put in. Flexible schedule. Family type environment. Tools provided to provide great service, samples, no charge credit for us to allocate as needed to assist our customers.

Cons

I really don’t have any cons, after having my own businesses I think the ecxpectations are attainable.

Pros

Thorough training and onboarding, nice manager

Cons

Super low pay for job itself, commissions are low & and only are dispersed when product ships (which could be months), not autonomous, micromanaged, dress code of not wearing nice jeans didn’t make sense (meeting with retail stores not doctors), hand had to pay for iPad monthly insurance fee. I’ve had sales positions in the past and never had to pay any fees on equipment.
