Pros
After finishing Masters in Neuroscience I was not sure what I wanted to do as my next career step. I was searching for an internship to give me more time to explore the industry, I came across an internship with GXPeople, a recruitment company that specialises exclusively in quality area. I applied to work at GXPeople because the company offered hands on training which can be transferred to any industry as well as an insight into the types of jobs available to life science graduates. My first interview with Nadia (Co-founder of GXPeople) was more of an informal discussion, a chance to know more about the company as well as the team and not like a typical competency based interview. This was really helpful, and I was impressed and inspired by how Nadia made it come to life when explaining the reality of working in recruitment. The whole recruitment process was smooth and professional and before I know it, I was working for the company. The team works and supports each other like a family, you are often pushed out of your comfort zone many times, but in the end you come out a better person. If you are someone who loves working as team, competitive, and would love the opportunity to travel around the world then this is the company to join.
Cons
-Long hours
-Can be stressful at times, but that's recruitment
