Pros
Fully remote position.
Work itself is clear and can be done efficiently if you’re organized.
Some coworkers were kind and supportive.
Cons
Management in the billing department created a tense and unstable work environment, with frequent gaslighting, shifting standards, and a lack of transparency.
Remote employees are often treated with distrust and disrespect, even when consistently performing above average. Requests for team performance reports were repeatedly ignored, and a scheduled performance review was postponed at the last minute with no explanation or follow-up.
Management in the billing sector is not properly trained to manage or evaluate remote employees. They lack the technical understanding and cultural awareness necessary to support a remote workforce, which results in confusion, micromanagement, and unnecessary pressure.
When I attempted to raise concerns about unprofessional and disrespectful treatment through official channels, I was unexpectedly disconnected from the company system and terminated immediately.
There was no recognition or additional compensation for taking on extra responsibilities beyond my job description. Overall, the environment was emotionally draining, poorly managed, and unsupportive of remote employees.
