Pros
After spending 20 years with my previous employer, making a change was a big decision for me. I joined GLT about a year and a half ago as an Office Manager in Order Processing, and it has been a very positive experience. The work environment is both collaborative and relaxed, which creates a great balance between productivity and comfort. Team members are supportive, and there’s a strong sense of working together toward common goals. Leadership is one of the highlights—managers are approachable, communicative, and fair, which makes a big difference in day-to-day work life. Work-life balance is very reasonable. While expectations are clear, there is flexibility when personal matters come up, which I truly appreciate. The company has also evolved in a positive way, becoming more flexible with scheduling and adding personal holidays. Compensation and benefits are competitive, with a generous PTO plan available right away and excellent health benefits. The company also puts effort into creating a positive workplace culture—there are frequent snacks and treats, especially on Fridays, and quarterly outings that allow everyone to connect and enjoy time together outside of work. In nicer weather, even the engineers take advantage of working outdoors, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Onboarding was smooth and very welcoming, which made the transition much easier after such a long time with my previous company. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was the global scale of the business and the number of projects being managed—it’s exciting to be part of something with that level of reach. The reason I’ve stayed is simple: the people and the culture. GLT genuinely shows that they care about their employees, both in the benefits they offer and the environment they create. Overall, I would highly recommend GLT to anyone looking for a supportive, team-oriented workplace with strong benefits and a positive culture.
Cons
Can not think of anything that is a con against the company. My previous workplace was four 10-hour days that I enjoyed. But, that is not how this company is structured for workload.
