Pros
If you're looking for a place to start your career, you could do a lot worse than GERSTEL. Company takes care of it's customers, management is very supportive and nurturing, and hierarchy is mostly flat so you have a lot of say in how your team operates. benefits are generous. some of the best people I've ever worked with.
Cons
compensation is low, especially compared to the cost of living in the area the company relies on merit increases, meaning sometimes you will end up making less real wages than the year before. no remote or hybrid options available for roles it makes sense for, which is causing a drain on talent. product line is small and company is tiny, so limited space for advancement. they try to make up for this with lots of training and development opportunities, to mixed results.
