Pros

The company sits in an exciting space and you really feel that in the day-to-day work. We’re constantly talking about new technology in marketing and how gaming is evolving as a channel. Very social, young team who are highly competent at their jobs. The average age is 27. The founders are very competent and you have a lot of trust in the direction they are taking the company. The work-life balance is excellent. Arguably it can even be a little too relaxed in certain areas. If you spot an opportunity to contribute or start something new, you’re encouraged to go for it. There aren’t many barriers.

Cons

If you don’t want to come into the office and talk to people you won't enjoy it here. If you want a clear career progression plan, it may not always be obvious because it’s a young company with new growth paths still developing. It’s better suited to people who are proactive in spotting opportunities for growth.

Pros

GEEIQ has a genuinely fantastic culture, shaped both by the founders and senior leadership, as well as the team across the company. It is one of the most collaborative and supportive environments I have worked in. Everyone is willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in, regardless of seniority, which creates a strong sense of shared ownership. There are also some incredibly smart people here, and I find myself learning from colleagues almost every day. It is an ambitious team, but also a very down-to-earth one. The culture is not just something that gets talked about, it is something the company actively creates space for. There are regular team activities like pub quizzes, group meals, and weekly trips to the pub that people across the company, including senior leadership, join. Importantly, many of these happen during working hours, which means people can take part without feeling like they need to sacrifice personal time. It creates a genuinely social and inclusive environment rather than something that feels forced.

Cons

Employee benefits could be stronger compared with more established companies, and this is probably the main area where the company could improve. That said, the business still has a startup mindset where everyone is focused on building something together. People are trusted to get on with their work, take ownership, and make decisions, which for many people is a big part of what makes the environment enjoyable.

Pros

- Ambitious, pro-active colleagues with strong start-up mentality and are looking to make an impact. - Given a high amount of responsiblity and autonomy - your role can be as rewarding as you make it - No lack of opportunity to speak to senior leaders and all other colleagues are sociable and accessible - A business that is at the forefront of its industry, if the industry continues to grow the business will no doubt grow with it - Incredible opportunities to be exposed to clients, sales prospects or even developing your own online presence through marketing content.

Cons

- Not the most flexible WFH/Hybrid system, but it is compensated with a strong culture and vibe in the office - Start-ups will always come with a lack of processes and systems with room to grow. Not the place for anyone looking for a fully mature business with everything in place.
