Pros
- salary - bonus - some people are okay - employee engagement team is trying their best
Cons
- career growth happens if you can sell yourself well, doesn't matter if you're really good at your job as long as you "appear" good at it - HIPPO: highest paid person's opinion prevails rather than actual data - no employee development support (no training, learning opportunities, mentoring, guiding). If you're good now but you get stuck later on, they'll replace you with their friends from Globe instead of help develop you - employee rating is based on your manager's feelings at the time of the deliberation so you don't really need to work that hard. Just look good and make your manager happy - people's jobs and functions increase every year, some change 2 to 3x a year but no training or development is given. They expect everyone to be plug-and-play and if you fail at the job you were not initially assigned to, they mark you as a "poor performer"
