High ceilings and fast paced environment

Work and life balance is lacking

I worked at Gamevil for over 3 years, and I did learn a lot while I was there, both good and bad. The company is very Korean biased, HQ is in Korea so knowing Korean is basically a must, if you do not know Korea it will be difficult to move up anywhere. The company is split between small groups of friends almost like high school. Their processes need a lot of work and polish to improve the company, management has their favorites and will always help them out while anyone else must work. Pay is not competitive at all and people that do not deserve promotions will most likely get them due to favoritism, apparently work is judged based on how many emails you send out. - Monthly Team outings (lunch or after work) - Some of the people there are great to work with - It is a stepping stone to learn a few tricks of the industry and a few practices - Area is nice - Multiple company events that happen yearly

- Management has their friends that they will help - You need to speak Korean in order to move up anywhere unless you get lucky - OT happens very very often - Compensation is very low compared to the rest of the industry - President is almost never there and is very unapproachable
