They seem to pay slightly better than most security outfits.
Cons
The cons are many. The corporate office doesn't really care about the officers out in the field. Road captains and supervisors are always trying to find any little thing to write you up on. Having to have a firearms license for client sties that are NOT armed is ridiculous. Clients seem to make up their own rules without notice. Overall, the management sucks. The benefits are quite lousy and don't expect any kind of raise unless the site you work offers raises. When raises are given they are usually very small and given by the clients, not G4S. Cost of insurance increased every year I worked for the company, thus your raise was pretty much offset by the increase. G4S offers a 401K plan, but does not match contributions. Don't go to G4S expecting a career.
