Pros
FD is a fun and exciting place to work. Most people are pretty young and very smart, there's a lot of collaboration, and the work is constantly new and interesting. Employees are pretty empowered and generally have enough responsibility to keep things from getting boring. The culture is meritocratic and employee value is recognized throughout the organization. There's also fresh produce and discounted lunches, which are really nice.
Cons
It's a 24/7 operation, so the exciting and rewarding responsibility also means you occasionally need to put out fires or work at odd hours. Departments are somewhat siloed; it can be difficult to coordinate large projects across the company. The odd shifts and quiet neighborhood are a detriment to development of office camaraderie.
