Pros
They hired me as a new graduate and most of the younger nurses I worked with there were great.
Cons
I was bullied by older nurses CONSTANTLY. Management played favorites, and refused to intervene when I would go to them with concerns. So many horrible things happened there since no one knew what they were doing because the older nurses were such terrible people that none of the new nurses learned anything from them and we didn't feel comfortable asking for help. We just had to kind of figure it out for ourselves. Not that the experienced nurses knew anything, anyway, they were nearly as incompetent as the brand new nurses, and too stuck up to ask for any help even when their patients were obviously crashing. Comforting thought when you're taking your loved ones there for care, isn't it? This place should be shut down. There isn't enough money in the world that could get me to go back. I would rather flush my nursing license down the toilet, and if I had a loved one who had to go to the hospital I would take them to Mercy or care for them myself and drive to Kansas City before I took them to this death trap. The day I left this hell hole forever was one of the best days of my entire life. The really cute part is, THEY THINK THEY'RE A GOOD HOSPITAL! They talk about how great they are literally ALL THE TIME. I didn't know the difference until I went to a different hospital that was actually a great hospital.
