Pros

Generally speaking time off requests are granted within a timely manner. Additionally there is room for upward movement. It seems that the company is some sort of transition, so right now would be the time to get a higher management position.

Cons

Where to begin. Management is extremely inconsistent. One week you could be working under the nicest person in the world, and the next you could be working under someone who has no business being in a management position. I have personally had the best, and worst managers. Additionally, the scheduling is absolutely awful. You will work 10 days sometimes with no empathy from upper management. "They did it, so you should too." Wages don't make any sense whatsoever. I was above a person making over 4 dollars an hour than I was. This person was my assistant. Why does that make sense. Raises are joke, wages are a joke, and there is literally no reason to move forward. No stock options, no bonuses, limited over time, and you are always being told how bad you are doing. The environment is so toxic I had to seek mental health help just to get through it.

Pros

Job can be fun and interesting Always something new to learn Lots of personal fulfillment as a manager when things go right

Cons

Unsupportive upper management Toxic work culture, unpaid overtime is rewarded and even expected or forced, even to the tune of multiple weeks in a row with no days off when you are salaried. They claim to support work life balance but even the smallest effort to set boundaries is heavily punished. Not paid as much as we should be for everything we have to do and deal with
