Pros
Benefits and salaries are good, probably why most people stay for as long as they do.
Cons
There is no vision...we would work on one crazy project to the next, hoping someone somewhere would give us money and save the museum. What few eggs we had left went into the bourbon basket and it failed. You walk through the galleries and no one's there. It's a hodgepodge of toy soldiers (oh wait, historic miniatures), bourbon, a few guns, and a patched up kid's exhibit (so we could save face and say we're still family friendly). The education department does the best it can with what is left. Hiring 2 former news anchors to bring in the media and publicity works cause of their obvious connections, but it only goes so far when no one believes or cares in the product you sell. Fear still runs rampant, starting at the top with the CEO, and the good employees have either gone or were fired. Also beware the nepotism in the exhibit department, it is beyond ridiculous. Skilled employee after skilled employee have come and gone (fired for poor planning in that department). It's not that hard to notice where the flaws truly lie based on the turnover rate.
