Pros
Your coworkers will become your friends. Like bonding over mutual misery. Shifts when you’re not alone for hours can be a blast.
Cons
Poor management, disastrous scheduling, does not value their employees. Many locations but only care about a select few. Understaffed, expect to work alone a LOT. Days where you might have to work main register, drive thru, and put truck away in the back by yourself while maintaining the store alone for upwards of 8 hours. You can ask for more coverage on your busy days, but you wont get it. The customers constantly complain about the prices but don’t expect to see that reflected in your hourly wages. Crazy amount of workload and responsibilities for not even $10 an hour AFTER a promotion. You do not get breaks and will get yelled at for sitting in the back if you need to eat during an 8 hour shift. Little employee protection, was told to compliment customers if they’re mean to us. Still asked to come in even when you’re sick. It’s a lonely job with little pay off, and most of the employees are generally unhappy here. Trying to get us to pay for $9 bagels when half of us didn’t even make that much in an hour. The app doesn’t work and the customers think its the employees fault for not knowing what to do either- and expect to never be told about company promotions until a customer informs you themself. They push getting tips to make up for the lack of hourly pay you get.
