Pros
I had the opportunity to intern at Founders Doc twice, and both times were incredibly rewarding. The firm provides a holistic and hands-on experience, giving interns a true stepping stone into what an associate’s role at a law firm entails.
From drafting and reviewing legal documents for complex transactions to assisting with corporate restructuring and fundraising, I gained invaluable exposure to legal work that significantly honed my analytical and drafting skills. Unlike some internships where you're stuck on the sidelines, at Founders Doc, you're actively involved and entrusted with meaningful tasks that contribute to real deals. Beyond legal work, I was also given the opportunity to work on business development and social media, including content creation website development. This unique blend of legal and business experience taught me how to multi-task, work under pressure, and adapt quickly - all essential skills for a future in law.
The team is incredibly supportive, always willing to teach and provide constructive feedback, which made the learning curve much smoother.
Overall, if you’re looking for an internship that challenges you, helps you grow, and prepares you for a legal career, Founders Doc is a fantastic place to start. I’m grateful for the experience and would highly recommend it to any law students/graduates looking to get hands-on legal and business exposure!
Cons
Can be fast-paced, so expect to juggle multiple tasks at once (but it’s great training for the real world!
