Pros
You know some really good people in the frontline. The team isn’t slacking and has great work ethics. Good pay in the mining sector.
Cons
In corporate settings, I’ve noticed a shift towards more talking and less acting. The culture has been deteriorating at least during my time there, and according to a long-term colleague who has seen it over the years. This is particularly evident in areas like communication, team dynamics, career advancement, and diversity/inclusiveness. There’s a hypocritical side to it; some people say one thing about embracing challenges while secretly trying to get rid of others. Say, someone has a medical condition; it’s best to get rid of it rather than figuring out another job placement. It’s not that there aren’t solutions, but the hypocrisy is concerning.
