Pros
Of course there are always great coworkers in a place like this
Cons
The staffing ratios are a joke And the company refuses to pay travel nurses to help us out. A travel RN told me that they slash the pay every quarter. They are trying to phase out travel RNs but yet they aren't paying bedside nurses enough to stay and keep us staffed. They offered big bonuses to new grads and new nurses and those nurses still leave in less than a year. I work shifts a week and the shifts are horrible. I am so exhausted on my days off that I can hardly do anything but stay in bed. We constantly run out of supplies. The nurses have to come up with crafty ways to care for the patients. I worked on an ICU floor and we ran out of suction canisters plenty of times. It's wild. They don't care about anything except their bonus at the end of the year.
