Fun work environment, interesting industry, well-run with good employee development and leadership availability. Ideal company size. Really enjoyed working here.

Some challenges in middle management and high turnover in select departments.

Consistent income. Pay was ok for the type of work. Plant manager was a good and reasonable guy. Small group of people. Low turnover rate for the most part. I received 2 raises while there for less than 2 years. Some others received 3 raises in that time. We often got free lunches. I would have stayed working there if i could've handled Illinois winters.

Safety was a concern. A couple of the long term employees played dangerous and inappropriate jokes on others. Seen people get burned by tongs and seat belts undone while people where driving forklifts. It's a hot, dark, and dingy job. Can't be good for your lungs no matter how much they say it's not unhealthy to breath in 10 hours a day. I wish they wouldn't let the men use the women's restroom but the guys were respectful. Wish they had better health insurance for how much it cost.
