There are times where clients will request for RUSH TAT - in these situations, I have left like management will tell us, "do what needs to be done to get results out", HOWEVER, if we go over hours then we get written up for it. There is a lot of responsibilities given to us above all the testing, above all the data, and they expect us to do it within an 8-hour shift, which is basically close to impossible. I know that corporate has no idea how the lab process works, from login in a sample, to adding it to bench sheets (ensuring all testing codes are correct), to testing the sample, ensuring the results are correct, entering data, releasing reports. For this reason, I feel there is a strong disconnect with corporate and the labs. Once again they expect the impossible.
I have seen way too many good employees leave; there is high turnaround for a reason. LISTEN to your employees.
Also, compared to other labs the pay here is terrible. Seriously, starting technicians at $13/hour.
