Pros
Coffee is free and sometimes donuts are brought in.
Cons
I have worked for some bad companies but Flowr is without a doubt the worst. I will explain why. First some information about myself. I worked cultivation for 2 years and I am going to give you the truth about what happens at Flowr. This company is always and I mean always short staffed and not just because of Covid-19. Flowr for some reason always likes to be short staffed, I guess to save money. Whenever there is a big harvest there is always a big hire and then when work is finished, almost all are let go. To be fair however some have been hired FT but it's a very small group of people and this is extremely rare. Largest turnover for a company I have ever seen though. No heads up either. Flowr could at least be considerate and tell people that their employment is only "temporary" but sadly workers are just expendable. What really gets me is that Flowr gives false promises of full-time, advancement, benefits and will even ask you to quit your other job to pursue a Flowr career. This is just smoke and mirrors. Flowr always backtracks later on when you ask for these promises. I literally have seen some people almost reduced to homelessness because they quit their other job to go 100% for Flowr, only to be let go next week. Seriously what kind of company does this? Speaking of false promises let's now look at the previous reviews. If you look at Flowrs responses you will see a trend. Any negative reviews are always met with a "cookie cutter" response saying that looking at getting better and will take the advise to upper management. Trust me, they have been doing this for years, and I have no faith at all they will change. Workers at best are just human cattle. Now let's talk about their values which are posted on Flowr's website: Our purpose is clear: to cultivate better people, plants, and products. Yeah lets talk about how many people were let go for no reason. A common word people will hear before getting fired is "I'm sorry your just not the right fit for Flowr". You try and ask why but you never get a real answer. Flowr needs to realize that by doing this you are creating very bad PR. It's a known fact that when people are wronged they will in turn tell at least 10 others, what they went through. Let me put it this way, how many ex Flowr staff are going to promote Flowr products now? Yeah exactly. A common whisper you hear from staff is that Flowr cares more about their plants than it's staff but I disagree with this. Plants are often overlooked as well. This could be due to short staff or lack of leadership. I have seen entire crops destroyed because they were not looked after. Makes me so sad to see plants getting destroyed just because Flowr don't know what they are doing. All the great growers have either quit or were fired. What does that tell you? It tells me Flowr would rather have submissive staff than productive staff. Now let's talk products. Well first of all Flowr is far from a "green" company. The amount of plastic waste and or garbage bags they go through is insane. Flowr does not care about it's workers, or the environment. Any ideas or suggestions to help the company or the environment fall on deaf ears with upper management. Truly sad. Flowr should be thankful that people care enough to give suggestions, but I guess Flowr thinks they know what they are doing. Yeah right. Flowr stock at the time of writing this review is $0.455 which is sad because they were much higher a few years ago. Due to covid-19 cannabis is in demand yet Flowr stock is dropping. WHY? Speaking of which I find it very odd that Flowr does NOT promote it's stock to it's employees. Flowr is the only company I have ever worked for that did NOT promote it's own stock. In all of 2 years with the company, I never had one manager or team lead ask me about buying Flowr stock. What does that tell you about Flowr? I have spent days trying to come up with at least one good thing about Flowr, but in all honesty I can't think of one thing other than free coffee. I strongly recommend not working, investing or having anything to do with Flowr. You will thank me later, trust me.
