Pros

Collegiality amongst academic staff is awesome

Cons

Toxic Management Culture: Colin Stirling overseas a cabal of sociopathic academic administrators. Staff are treated like dirt. Academic skills and accomplishments are considered replaceable in all instances; no one is safe. Not even the most accomplished academic staff can avoid the axe if they voice concern over, or draw attention to, the litany of irrational, counterproductive or simply vindictive management decisions that are made by Executive Deans on a regular basis

Pros

The department of psychology is small yet produces a consistent research of a world standard. The Head of School at the time was very effective at bringing in world class researchers and the school is one of the leading departments in terms of research output at the University.

Cons

Much of the decor and design are from the 1970's. It gets very hot in summer. Adelaide is a relatively small city. It is close to the beach. Flinders is set in some nice hills, but it gets very dry.

Pros

The campus is located on a hill in Adelaide, with great views and a quiet environment—perfect for studying. Compared to Sydney and Melbourne, Adelaide is much more affordable, especially for rent and daily expenses.

Cons

The campus is in Bedford Park, a bit far from the city center. Public transport is mainly buses, which can be inconvenient at times.
