Pros
Very supportive management and HR staff that genuinely want each employee to be both happy and successful in their respective work environment. The concept of micro-management and pointless meetings are obviously foreign to FiveBy, so you only need to focus on performing your actual job requirements day over day. Every suggestion, complaint or concern that is voiced to mgmt or HR is evaluated and treated seriously to understand how improvements can be made not just for a single individual but for every employee on the team, and every person is treated with dignity and respect. Last but not least, the employees are some of the brightest and most eager to help I've come across in the industry and always willing to share knowledge and skills when needed. Since we do not compete against each other over poorly designed yearly reviews and bonuses (e.g. Microsoft) there is a strong sense of community between the employees, many of whom have been with the company several years; a side-effect of this is that employee attrition is very low. Great pay, great people and the ability to work on large, impactful projects that make the Internet a safer place for everyone.
Cons
Some of these jobs have the potential for their contract to be closed with very little notice, such as working within Microsoft as part of a managed service. That said, FiveBy will also keep you on the bench at half pay for up to two months while they try to place you in another position.
