Pros

Some really great team members. A lot of good people outside of upper management. Strong environment to learn at entry level, but gets more political the longer you stay.

Cons

Poor communication on intentions of the company. Poor one-on-one personal development. After a while you feel like a pawn.

Thanks for the feedback. We do have really great team members in product and engineering. It would be great to get more context on the bureaucracy given how flat our team is as a whole. On the communication side, we exhibit the same challenges like our customers. While we do our best to bring top-down communications to our team, it is hard to decentralize the many moving pieces of a remote team like ours. Bottom line, we try and we could always get better. It sounds like we didn’t do a great job cultivating your career here at SocialChorus and we sincerely apologize for that. We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to do the best work of their career. We will take your input to put more processes and goals to improve the experience for everyone. From communications to building product, we definitely take our time to make decisions. At times, we may take longer than necessary hindering our ability to crisply execute.

Pros

Executive Leadership, Company Culture, Excellent Products, Good People, Communication is steller

Cons

It's a smaller outfit but growing. As long as you are willing to put in the work you have an opportunity to go far.

Pros

I'm still new here, one month in. But I've had an outstanding experience so far. I sell a forward thinking product that solves real problems for organizations looking to communicate more effectively with their workforce. The leadership from the CEO on down seems genuinely interested in my success, the success of the overall team, and the customers using or considering using Firstup products.

Cons

I was initially hesitant to join this company because the Glassdoor reviews here were horrendous. Before I accepted the offer, I had a heart to heart with the hiring manager, CRO, and an account executive. And I'm so glad I did. They didn't make excuses about the low ratings. They explained how a year ago this company had some toxic leadership and people left. Since then, new leadership has taken over, and even though I didn't experience the "toxic days", I can tell things here are quite different. Just goes to show how critical leadership is to a company's culture and overall success. I don't regret joining Firstup at all.
