Pros

Strong overall benefits package (with the exception of PTO, which I’ll address under cons). Solid starting point for a career in finance, offering hands‑on experience and skill development. Reliable and well‑established regional bank, providing stability even when individual branches face challenges. Predictable banking schedule, with no weekend hours, supporting a more balanced work–life routine.

Cons

Compensation falls short of workload expectations, with pay not reflecting the level of effort required. Recognition is virtually nonexistent. No bonuses, negligible raises, and an upper leadership team that rarely acknowledges the effort happing at the branch level. Leadership is markedly ineffective, with persistent poor management, blatant favoritism, and a widening disconnect between those making decisions and those dealing with the consequences. Time‑off policies are unnecessarily restrictive and often demoralizing, with employees questioned for even basic PTO needs: personal, medical, or emergency. All the while upper leadership’s frequent absences send a contradictory message. Chronic understaffing creates a high‑stress environment, fueling nonstop pressure and contributing to constant turnover that only worsens the workload for those who remain. Operational structure is disorganized and inefficient, plagued by miscommunication, excessive layers of management, and unclear processes that hinder productivity and create daily frustration. Aggressive sales pressure with no real direction, where employees are pushed to meet goals without the proper tools, guidance, or support. This creates unnecessary stress, confusion, and frustration, especially when leadership cannot explain expectations but still demands results.

Pros

Generous PTO accrual. Some good people.

Cons

My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. The lack of training is severe—new employees are thrown into complex responsibilities with little guidance or support, and mistakes are treated as personal failures rather than opportunities to teach. It quickly becomes clear that you’re just a number, not a valued team member. The culture is weighed down by nepotism and favoritism, and it shows in who gets opportunities, who gets protected, and who gets sidelined. Hard work doesn’t matter. On top of that, upper management is unprofessional, gossipy, and disconnected from what employees actually need. Instead of leadership, there’s a lot of whispering, inconsistency, and decision-making based on personal preference rather than fairness or logic. Do not tell them anything about personal life they will find a way to use that against you. To make matters worse, the systems are extremely outdated. They are just NOW getting e-sign. Simple tasks take far longer than they should, and customers often need multiple visits just to get basic issues resolved, which adds to frustration for both staff and clients. the company shows no regard for employee well-being. Even if you’re genuinely sick—or, as many employees joke, “on your deathbed”—they will still question whether you’re coming in (unless you’re a favorite). The pressure to show up no matter what is overwhelming and unsustainable. Overall, this is not a healthy or supportive workplace. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for proper training, growth, or a respectful environment.
